Visibility Patterns

Share |

Weather conditions are a key consideration with all location shoots, and researching the climate is often one of the first tasks in selecting a shortlist of suitable locations.

Weather Patterns for Visibility shows the average extent of visibility at a particular place for all hours of the day and night. This is based on observations that are made over a number of years at regular times during the day, typically at three-hourly intervals.

By interpolating this data it is possible to illustrate variations in visibility through the day and night. The following example for Tunis / Carthage in Tunisia shows that the best visibility is found in July in the afternoon.
