Fog Patterns

Share |

Weather conditions are a key consideration with all location shoots, and researching the climate is often one of the first tasks in selecting a shortlist of suitable locations.

Weather Patterns for the Probability of Fog shows the probability of fog at a particular place for all hours of the day and night. This is based on observations that are made over a number of years at regular times during the day, typically at three-hourly intervals.

By interpolating this data it is possible to illustrate variations in the probability of fog through the day and night. The following example for Copenhagen in Denmark shows that in most months there is likely to be fog in the morning.
