Location Managers & Location Scouts

Share |

Weather conditions are a key consideration with all location shoots, and researching the climate is often one of the first tasks in selecting a shortlist of suitable locations.

A Location Manager is someone who specialises in managing the logistics of shooting on location. This involves negotiating the correct permits, dealing with property owners, members of the public and managing the film unit on location. A Location Scout finds and photographs specific locations for a film shoot and is also involved in a supportive role with 'location management'.
