Weather conditions are a key consideration with all location shoots, and researching the climate is often one of the first tasks in selecting a shortlist of suitable locations.

A library that supplies photographs of specific properties and places that have or can be used for filming. These are often owned and managed by location managers, location scouts and increasingly by film commissions. Many of these photo libraries now offer 'on-line' services.
